Springfield is Cookin’!
AARP in Springfield has cooked up several free food preparation demonstrations with the Springfield Hy-Vee location. You can learn how to prepare tasty dishes and share your culinary best with family and friend foodies.
The “What’s Cooking with AARP” cooking classes will be held in the Hy-Vee Club Room at the 1720 Battlefield Road location. The dishes prepared can be easily replicated at home.
All classes are scheduled form 6-8:00 p.m. and each has a theme:
May 14th Mexican Fiesta- A night full of traditional Mexican flavors made from scratch
August 13th Backyard Picnics and BBQ's -A fun night of discovering new recipes and flavors that are sure to be crowd pleasers at your next cookout!
November 5th Not Your Average Holiday Dinner--Modern takes on holiday recipes
