Working to Lower Rx Drug Costs in North Dakota

Posted on 11/30/22 by The AARP Bulletin

During the 2023 Legislative Session, AARP North Dakota is advocating for policies to lower the cost of prescription drugs.

Lawmakers are considering a bill (SB 2031) that would pilot using prescription drug prices paid for certain drugs in Canada as a reference point when North Dakota’s state employee health system negotiates drug prices.

Other AARP priorities include creating greater protections for consumers and making sure older North Dakotans can live independently as they age. Watch our weekly All Things Advocacy updates here, and learn more here.
