Program Helps Older Kentuckians Go Back to School
AARP’s Comebackers project is reaching out to older workers who may need further education to compete for better-paying jobs.
The program helps Kentuckians find education opportunities, such as completing a high school equivalency GED test, a college certification program or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
To find free adult education services so you can work toward a GED, with the possibility of earning a college certificate or some college credit at the same time, go to kyskillsu.ky.gov.
The state has also created scholarships for adult learners. Visit WorkReadyKentucky.com or call 833-711-9757 for information about tuition-free certificates and two-year degrees through local community colleges and other local institutions.
