Picnics, Pool - and Baseball - at Skeeters Game
Looking for some summer relaxation but can’t decide among a picnic, lying on the grass on a blanket, or taking kids to the playground, the pool or an aquatic play area?
You can do all those things and enjoy the excitement of a professional baseball game, with the minor-league Sugar Land Skeeters. Their home, Constellation Field, at 1 Stadium Drive, packs a lot of entertainment.
As an added bonus, you can get discount seats, thanks to AARP’s sponsorship.
Visit with AARP in Houston staff and volunteers on the concourse, get a baseball cap, and ask questions. They will be at the games on April 25, May 10, June 13, Aug. 20 and Sept. 20.
Visit sugarlandskeeters.com and use the code Playball for a $5 discount on each ticket. Camera crews will be looking for fans wearing AARP lids to feature on the big screen or the FanCam.
Plus, fans 55 and older can join the team’s Silver Skeeters Club. For a $35 fee, members get free admission to 11 games, a T-shirt and other benefits. Sign up at sugarlandskeeters.com/silver skeeters or call 281-207-9127.
