On Tap

On Tap - Gerri

AARP successfully completed the Spring ON TAP schedule with events at Invictus, Broken Clock, and St Paul Brewing. Almost 100 people attended each of these events with food and cash collected and donated to local food shelves. See below for more information and pictures of the Spring events.

AARP is currently working to finalize the dates and venues for the three Fall ON TAP events. We anticipate by the end of June the locations and details for the Fall schedule will be finalized. At that point, we will post that information on this website, along with links to the registration sites for each event. This website will be the best place to receive ON TAP information and updates.

Thanks to everyone who attended the Spring events and made them a success. A special thanks to all the ON TAP volunteers.  Without their help, these events would not be possible.

We would like your help to improve future events. At the bottom of this page is a simple six-question survey to help us in planning for future ON TAP events.

There is also an optional comments section to provide any additional input on ways to improve these events. Thanks in advance for your participation in this survey which will help us improve future ON TAP Events.

The Successfully Completed Spring Schedule:

Invictus Brewing

Invictus Brewery in Blaine was the first of six AARP On Tap brewery events this year. Over 60 AARP members socialized and drank quality craft brews. Lively conversations included talk about pickle ball, winter travel, the next On Tap events and more. Charitable donations of non-perishable food items and money were sent to Southern Anoka County Community Assistance food shelf. Watch this space for AARP On Tap updates. Join us for a craft brew and a brewery tour.

Broken Clock Brewing Cooperative

“Where Time stops and Community begins” is the founding vision for Broken Clocks Brewery. There was a feeling of community as over ninety AARP members enjoyed great service, friendly conversations, and quality craft beers. We are guessing that many will return. This event at St. Paul Brewery (formerly Flat Earth Brewery) was on Thursday, May 23.

There were many new attendees among the 90+ AARP members at this charitable event. It’s exciting to welcome new people to the many AARP activities and advocacy for those in the 50+ age group. Our volunteers provided information about the AARP state and national effort to reduce prescription drug prices. As always, participants were generous with food and monetary gifts.

For the Fall Events

Bring a non-perishable food item or make a monetary donation and AARP will buy you a craft brew and give you a tour of the brewery. AARP volunteers will welcome you and provide information about how AARP is serving the needs of adults 50+. Participants have shared that they truly enjoyed socializing with other 50+ adults.
