Older Illinoisans Say No to Higher Water and Sewer Rates

Posted on 06/27/24

The ICC is currently considering two proposals from Illinois American Water and Aqua Illinois that would raise customers’ water rates.

Before making a decision, the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) is providing customers like you a chance to comment on how this increase will impact you and your family.

AARP knows that water is essential for Illinois residents and that many are already struggling to pay their utility bills along with other necessities like food, medicine and housing, and we are committed to sending you the most up-to-date information about the proposed rate increase.
