490,000 Oklahomans fulfill the vital role of family caregivers. They perform medical tasks, prepare meals and care for loved ones. While this is a rewarding experience, it can also be challenging.






To support family caregivers, AARP Oklahoma and area providers are hosting the Oklahoma Caregivers Conference on November 7 in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Ardmore, McAlester, Enid and online. The conference is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

Regardless of where family caregivers find themselves in the continuum of caregiving- starting to plan, coordinating a big move, or taking care of a loved one in your own home- resources and experts are available to help. Breakout session topics include respite programs, health and wellness, ways to recharge and energize, connecting with other caregivers and resources for aging in place.
