Nominations Now Open: 2025 AARP Pennsylvania Andrus Award for Community Service

Posted on 06/19/25

Every day across Pennsylvania, people 50 and older are making a powerful impact — mentoring young people, supporting neighbors, leading community projects, and giving their time to causes that matter.

The Andrus Award for Community Service is AARP's highest volunteer honor, recognizing one outstanding volunteer each year who embodies the spirit of service and the values of our founder, Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus.

And we're asking you to help decide who gets recognized.

Nominate a Volunteer Today

If you know someone 50 or older who has made a lasting impact through volunteer service in Pennsylvania, we invite you to submit a nomination. It only takes a few minutes — and it’s a meaningful way to honor someone who’s dedicated their time and energy to others.

Click here to nominate someone now.

Nominations are open through August 26.

Why It Matters

Volunteers don’t do it for recognition — but a little appreciation can go a long way. The Andrus Award reminds us all of the power of service, and the value of lifting up those who make a difference in quiet, consistent ways.
