AARP New York and the New-York Historical Society are proud to bring back virtual tours to the comfort of your home!

AARP members and guests can join us for a FREE exhibition: The First Jewish Americans: Freedom and Culture in the New World.

In this exhibition, rare portraits, drawings, maps, documents, and ritual objects show how 18th- and 19th-century artists, writers, activists, and more adopted American ideals while struggling to remain distinct and socially cohesive within the birth of a new Jewish American tradition.

To celebrate Rosh Hashanah, learn how Jewish settlers who were forced from ancestral lands in Europe, South America and the Caribbean came to inhabit and influence America in “The First Jewish Americans: Freedom and Culture in the New World.”

We look forward to seeing you virtually in class!
