MSD Announces NEW Customer Assistance Program (CAP)

MSD launched a NEW Customer Assistance Program (CAP) to help eligible low-income senior citizens pay their sewer bills.

Eligible customers will receive a 25% discount on their sewer charges, beginning August 2019. The estimated annual savings for the customer is $120 or more. Per state law, the discount can only be offered to MSD customers who meet specific eligibility requirements including:

• 65 years of age or older
• Own and live in the residence for which they are paying the MSD sewer bill
• Have an Ohio Adjusted Gross Income (OAGI) of no more than $32,800 for 2019. This applies to the combined income of the applicant and their spouse.

“The goal is to make this program as easy as possible for our senior customers to apply to and participate in,” said Ann Newsom, CAP Program Manager.

Eligible customers can obtain a copy of the CAP application by either of the following methods:
