Memories at the Museum

Are you ready to explore your inner artist?

AARP Kentucky, the Speed Art Museum, and the Alzheimer's Association are launching a free interactive virtual event on Saturday, July 24, from 1:00-2:00 pm ET

You'll be able to get an inside peek of Isabelle de Borchgrave's exhibit Fashioning Art from Paper, currently on display at the Speed Art Museum. Isabelle de Borchgrave is an artist who recreates famous dresses and costumes from history with just two simple materials: paint and paper. After the exhibit tour, you'll be able to put your art-making skills to the test and create your own paper accessories.

All participants who register by July 2 will receive their free art-making supplies in the mail during the week of July 19. Anyone who registers after July 2 will need to provide their own paper, acrylic paint, and paintbrushes to participate during the craft portion of the event.

Attendance is free but you must register online or by calling the Alzheimer's Association at 1-800-272-3900.*

Let's get creative!
