Medicaid Expansion Now the Law in Utah

Beginning January 1st, up to 60,000 Utahns who were previously ineligible are able to qualify for health insurance through Utah's new full Medicaid expansion. This new extension of eligibility expands coverage up to 138% of the Federal Poverty Level, or approximately $17,000 for an individual, or $35,000 for a family of four.

Call 2-11 to be connected with Take Care Utah and receive FREE enrollment assistance! Work requirements have also begun -- please encourage others to take advantage of enrollment assistance to help alleviate expected dis-enrollment from these new reporting requirements.

Other new changes to Medicaid:

As of January 1, 2020:

· Targeted Adult Medicaid (TAM) has expanded! The newly expanded subgroups are: "an individual who is a victim of domestic violence who is living or residing in a place not meant for human habitation, a safe haven or in an emergency shelter; individuals court ordered to receive substance abuse or mental health treatment; and individuals on probation or parole with serious mental illness and/or serious substance use disorder."
· Work Requirements begin
· Dental Benefits for those aged 65+, and porcelain or porcelain-to-metal crowns to those aged 65+ and Targeted Adults who are receiving treatment for a substance use disorder.

UHPP Health Care Solutions Conference Held December 11, 2019
