In this role, Holmes will be responsible for the design and implementation of AARP’s strategic communications plan in the Peach State – working to engage AARP members, volunteers, media and the public on AARP Georgia’s top advocacy and community engagement initiatives.

“We are excited to welcome Matt into the AARP family and we look forward to leveraging his extensive skills and talents to engage our members and all people 50-plus,” said AARP Georgia State Director Debra Tyler Horton.

As a 20-year communications professional, Holmes brings to the position extensive experience in media and government relations.
