Mama’s Girls are back! Virtually!

One of the longest touring urban stage plays in the United States, Mama’s Girls, is set to make its transition to a televised online format for AARP Virginia.

All the colorful characters that audiences fell in love with over the last eight years while touring the country are even more lifelike in Garrett Davis’ The Return of Mama’s Girls. All the girls are back: Ke-Ke, Ruthie May, Breana, Baby Girl, and the hilarious Paulette in an episode that showcases the reality of taking care of a loved one during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Mama," played by two-time Grammy nominee Ann Nesby makes her debut and does an outstanding job of holding her girls together when a family secret is revealed. After a scare at the assisted living facility where Mama resides, because a nurse who has tested positive for COVID-19, the family is in a tailspin on how to deal with the situation.

Full of laughs, but a plethora of information, Garrett Davis’ The Return of Mama’s Girls presented by AARP Virginia is sure to be major hit with audiences of all ages.
