Making Kansas City More Livable
Two communities have received AARP Community Challenge grants to improve their outdoor amenities.
In the Kansas City area, the Raytown Chamber of Commerce Building Foundation will install a shared-use path on a bike trail in front of its building, with two park benches and a water fountain. The project is scheduled to be finished this year.
In St. Louis, Trailnet, a nonprofit that advocates for better access to safe walking and biking options, will create a parklet at the intersection of Laclede and Vandeventer avenues.
