Make a Difference in Iowa as an AARP Volunteer

Posted on 11/10/20

AARP Iowa is in search of amazing people like you to become volunteers. We are working around the state fighting for Iowans on state and federal issues like Elder Abuse, caregiving, and the high price of prescription drugs.

We need volunteers like you to make a difference!

AARP Iowa relies on volunteers across the state to talk to lawmakers about laws and policies that affect older Iowans, their families, and their pocketbooks.

Whether it’s attending a virtual meeting or writing a letter to the editor, sending a note to your local legislator, or telling a personal story about high prescription-drug costs, volunteers can help in many ways.

Previous experience is not necessary. What matters is the desire to make a difference for your neighbors, friends, and families.

Our volunteers are dedicated and care about giving back to their communities. When you join our family of volunteers, we provide all of the training and support you need to make a difference, make new connections and have fun at the same time.
