Louisville and Lexington City Planners Hosting Conference on New Housing Option: Accessory Dwelling Units

Two-day virtual conference featuring national experts and local leaders to help citizens and industry professionals alike to understand accessory dwelling units in detail.

LOUISVILLE, Ky.– Louisville and Lexington planning division staff are teaming up to deliver a free, two-day virtual conference next week. The conference offers national expertise on this emerging housing type is defined as a secondary independent unit on a single-family lot.

Who:               Open to Public, Builders, Lenders, Appraisers, and Real Estate professionals.
Elected officials join the discussion on necessary partnerships, advocacy efforts, and political approach involved in the process. Panelists: Louisville CM Nicole George, District 21 and Lexington CM Hannah LeGris, District 3

Keynote address by Daniel Parolek, Founding Principal, Opticos Design Inc. (Feb. 2). A renowned urban designer, architect, and author of Missing Middle Housing to explain how Accessory Dwelling Units complement the transformative “missing middle housing” concept.
