Looking for Louisiana Advocates, 'Virtual Volunteers'

Posted on 05/31/20 by George Bridges

Volunteer in Milwaukee County

AARP Louisiana is looking for people to help on a wide range of programs that strengthen communities. These include “virtual volunteers” who can help with social media, write and edit newsletters, and conduct online workshops.

Volunteers are also needed to advocate for family caregivers.

Along with helping those in need, older Americans who contribute their time and expertise frequently live longer and report fewer disabilities, studies show.

Want to volunteer? Contact Daphney Young at dyoung@aarp.org or 504-485-2162, or Vanessa Eiland at veiland@aarp.org or 225-376-1150. Stay up to date at aarp.org/la.
