AARP Montana invites you to join us for a Tele Townhall on Tuesday, June 6, from 10 to 11 a.m. Learn more about how to select an estate attorney. This event will feature one of Montana's leading estate planning experts, Dr. Marsha A. Goetting.

Dr. Goetting received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Family Economics and Adult Education from Kansas State University and her Ph.D. from Iowa State University.
"When selecting an attorney to help develop an estate plan, you need to have one who is well-informed about Montana will and trust laws, and other legal tools," said Dr. Goetting. "You want the attorney to develop an estate plan tailored to your needs, by considering your age, health, family, income, assets, goals, and other circumstances. If your goal is to find an attorney to help settle an estate or administer a probate, then look for one who is knowledgeable about the probate process and trust law in Montana. Attorneys have different areas of expertise This session will explore how to find an attorney and what questions you want to ask about developing a plan or settling an estate."
Additionally, the call will be hosted by AARP Montana State Director, Tim Summers. Troy Shockley, former News Director for Montana Radio Company, will serve as the call's moderator.
“This is a live forum and participants are encouraged to join the call and hear directly from the subject matter experts. Folks can also pose their questions to our expert,” said Summers. “This important call is available for anyone regardless of whether they are an AARP member or not. Because this telephone townhall is interactive, we encourage people to come prepared with questions that they might have.”
