Learn What’s New for Your 2018 Taxes
Now that the holidays are over, it’s almost time for a new season – tax time. Join the AARP Las Cruces Chapter for an enlightening discussion on what’s new when filing your 2018 taxes . Paul Mach, a volunteer from the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program will speak on what’s new for 2018 tax preparation. This event will be part of the Chapter’s monthly meeting, Jan. 18 th, at 2 p.m. but the public is invited to attend. Join the Chapter at its new meeting location at Senior Amigos, 3948 Lohman Avenue, Las Cruces.
Additionally the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program will begin doing taxes Feb. 4 th at the Community Action Agency, 3880 Foothills Rd. Suite A., Las Cruces. Volunteer tax preparers will be available starting Feb. 4 through April 12, Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Evening hours will be held Mondays and Wednesdays only, starting Feb. 25 through April 10, 5:50 p.m. to 8 p.m .
