AARP North Dakota is hosting a series of four lounge and learns in March to help people stay safe online.
Cybersecurity is in the news every day – data breaches, identity theft, and social media scams. Companies are under attack 24/7, but so are you! That’s why it is important to keep your personal information as safe as possible.
Tony Aukland from the N.D. Information Technology Department, will show how North Dakota and its residents are under attack. Real world examples will be given, even events that have occurred in our state. Learn how to keep your information safe and how to be more online savvy with your smartphone, tablet and computer.
Aukland has been in information technology for 25 years and has served many roles, including cybersecurity analyst.
The lounge and learns are all from 5:30-7 p.m. A light meal will be served.
There is no cost to attend, but pre-registration is required. Register online at one of the web addresses below, or call 1-877-926-8300.
We invite you to bring a nonperishable food item that will be donated to the Great Plains Food Bank.
