Learn to Spot a Pandemic Scam

Posted on 10/31/20 by The AARP Bulletin

Fraudsters have been capitalizing on the coronavirus pandemic to wreak more havoc, from robocalls to phishing emails and texts. AARP wants to keep you and your loved ones safe from con artists.

The AARP Fraud Watch Network teaches consumers how to spot and avoid swindles and supports those who have already fallen victim to fraud.

Though new schemes pop up frequently, the top five categories in the Granite State are impostor scams, identity theft, online shopping and negative reviews, telephone and mobile services, and banks and lenders.

For fraud prevention resources, including tips, webinars, speakers bureau presentations and social media updates, go to aarp.org/fraudwatchnetwork or call 877-908-3360.
