Learn How to Spot, Avoid Scams in Iowa

Posted on 02/28/22 by The AARP Bulletin

AARP Iowa is encouraging local groups to schedule AARP Fraud Watch Network presentations in 2022. Trained volunteers are eager to help protect older Iowans by sharing the latest information about how to spot and avoid financial scams.

Church groups, book clubs and many other community organizations across the state have benefited from such presentations over the past two years. Meetings can be held virtually, so people can safely participate from home amid the coronavirus pandemic.

To schedule a fraud prevention presentation, call 515-697-1011 or email iaaarp@aarp.org.
