Learn How to Protect Yourself from Frauds and Scams
AARP and the Better Business Bureau invite you to learn more about how to protect you and your family from frauds and scams by attending a free workshop on Thursday, July 18 at 2:00 p.m. at the Advanced Learning Library in Wichita.* The program will be presented by Retired FBI Special Agent Jeff Lanza.
The program will include tips on:
- Protecting personal information from identity theft;
- Avoiding social engineering, spoofing and spam phone calls;
- Preventing e-mail hijacking, account takeovers and social networking fraud; and
- Being safe online when e-mailing, shopping and communicating
Lanza has dedicated his life to keeping people safe from fraud. With more than 25 years as a Special Agent for the FBI, he investigated corruption, fraud, cybercrime and organized crime. He appears regularly as a fraud expert on CNBC’s Closing Bell, Fox News, The Today Show and Good Morning America. His program is engaging with compelling content.
