Learn How to Help Keep Your Brain Fit

Posted on 10/31/21 by The AARP Bulletin

AARP Iowa and the Alzheimer’s Association are collaborating on a series of virtual sessions about brain health.

The webinars will offer an overview of cognitive health and provide information on new research, lifestyle suggestions and other resources. Topics will include “Save Your Brain,” top warning signs, and understanding Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Up to 40 percent of dementia cases may be prevented or delayed with early intervention, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“Our brains change with aging, but Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias are not inevitable,” says Brad Anderson, state director for AARP Iowa.
