AARP in Cincinnati is offering a four-week virtual series in August with Bollywood dancing and information on cognitive health.

A fusion of traditional and modern Indian styles, Bollywood dancing has become popular worldwide through colorful production numbers in films. The online classes will give participants of all abilities a chance to discover a new way of exercising.

No dance experience is required, and there is no complicated choreography to learn. Instead, the sessions will focus on moving to the music’s beat and follow each person’s pace, so no one is left behind. And wear whatever clothing allows you to move freely.

As part of the sessions, participants will learn how dancing and movement can help improve cognition. They will also receive information on AARP’s online brain health resources.

The classes are free and open to the public on Saturdays, Aug. 7, 14, 21 and 28, from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Registration is required.

Go to aarp.org/cincinnati to register for each session. A Zoom meeting link will be emailed with the confirmation.
