Nominations are open for the 16th annual AARP Oklahoma Native American Elder Honors, which celebrates 50 Native American elders who have positively impacted our country, state, communities and Indian Country.
The 15th annual AARP Oklahoma Native American Elder Honors event honored 47 Native American elders from 23 Oklahoma tribal nations for their achievements, community service and impact.
The 15th annual AARP Oklahoma Native American Elder Honors event honored 47 Native American elders from 23 Oklahoma tribal nations for their achievements, community service and impact. Since 2009, AARP Oklahoma has honored nearly 700 Native American elders from Oklahoma's 39 tribal nations.
The 14th annual AARP Oklahoma Native American Elder Honors event honored 40 Native American elders from 20 Oklahoma tribal nations for their achievements, community service and impact. 
Forty-seven Native American elders from 23 Oklahoma tribal nations were recognized virtually at the 13th annual AARP Oklahoma Indian Elder Honors event on November 12, 2021. Honorees were selected based on their achievements, community service and impact.
Each honoree was selected based on a lifetime of achievement, service and commitment to our nation, state, communities and Indian Country.
More than 900 people were in attendance as 52 distinguished elders were honored at the AARP Oklahoma 11th annual Indian Elder Honors celebration at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City on Tuesday, October 1, 2019.
