Sip, Sample and Serve– San Jose | July 11th
Are you interested in volunteering with AARP? Join us at our Sip, Sample and Serve volunteer recruitment happy hour. This early evening event, hosted at the historic San Jose Fire Museum, is an opportunity to learn about the array of AARP volunteer opportunities in the Bay Area, while networking and enjoying complimentary hors d'oeuvres, wine, live jazz music, and more. Northside Night Market – San Jose | July 13th
It is time to kick back and relax in the park, while enjoying live music and meeting your Backesto Park neighbors. Gilroy Garlic Festival – Gilroy | July 26th- 28th
The annual Gilroy Garlic Festival three-day spectacular is back, and AARP’s Pop-Up Team will be there with an interactive booth and FREE giveaways. We hope to see you there, stinky breath and all! Learn more about this ticketed event HERE.
Cupertino Night Market – Cupertino | July 27th
It is the inaugural Cupertino Night Market featuring Asian-themed festivities and an open-air market. AARP will be there sharing information on our Fraud Watch Network and how you can protect yourself and your loved ones from frauds and scams. Learn more about this FREE event HERE
Senior Safari – San Jose | July 27th
Come get your steps in, while enjoying the beautiful, animal friendly Happy Hallow Park & Zoo. Visitors age 50 and up are invited to take over San Jose’s iconic zoo in a kid-free environment! Parking and admission are FREE to guests who arrive before 10 a.m. Learn more about this event HERE.

LOCAL VOLUNTEERING:
AARP Volunteer Recruitment
AARP is seeking volunteers for events and education outreach in San Jose and the Greater Bay Area. Event Team members provide support at community functions, while Education Team members give presentations to small groups on topics such as home repairs to facilitate aging in place, caregiving, and job searching in the digital age.
