Understanding the key building blocks of retirement is necessary to retirement planning. AARP North Dakota is offering in-person Social Security sessions in two locations in September. A speaker from the Bismarck office of the Social Security Administration will help people nearing retirement get the most out of Social Security in retirement. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.
Missing Middle Housing Forums - Bismarck and West Fargo | September 27 & 28
Join community leaders and developers in Bismarck and West Fargo to discuss how to expand the housing options in these two growing cities in a way that that benefits everyone. We'll explore the advantages and components of a concept called Missing Middle Housing — digging into diverse housing options that support walkability, locally-servicing retail, and public transportation options. Collage Art Classes in Grand Forks | Thursday, Oct. 12
Gain a greater understanding of the elements of design including line, shape, texture, space and color during this two-hour class led by North Dakota Museum of Art Executive Director Mathew Wallace. You'll incorporate each element of design to create your own collage to take home. No charge for materials or to attend. Refreshments provided. Register for one of the classes today!

Volunteer Recognition Events in Bismarck and Fargo | Oct. 24 & 25
Whether you're a new or long-time AARP volunteer, or if you aspire to volunteer with AARP, we invite you to join us for one of the upcoming Volunteer Recognition events in either Bismarck or Fargo. We'll provide updates, some training and wrap up the event by recognizing volunteers during the awards luncheon. AARP ND YOGA SERIES 2023-24
This fall we're bringing back our popular online yoga series! Local yoga teacher Sigrid Strebe will again be our guide to greater strength and flexibility while providing options for every body and ability. Each 45-minute class will take place on a Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. online. Yoga blocks, a bolster, a strap and a chair can be useful but are not required. Registration links coming soon.
