âThis great event champions the brave survivors of breast cancer and encourages Jacksonville to live healthier every day,” AARP Florida State Director Jeff Johnson said. “We hope residents of all ages participate.”
TheÂ Pink Ribbon Symposium was founded in 2008 and is dedicated to educating the Northeast Florida community on recent advances and related topics in the detection, treatment and survivorship of breast cancer patients as well as the understanding of the importance of healthy lifestyle choices.Â
This year’s guest speaker isÂ Jeannie Blaylock, Â an award-winning news anchor and cancer champion.
In addition to the exhibitors and educational seminars, this year you can enjoy live entertainment from the Jacksonville Harmony Chorus & Orange Park High School band, a Man Cave with massages and guy-talk, a Corvette Car Show, our Pretty-in-Pink Pampering Room for manicures and massages, Chair Yoga and Tai Chi, an outdoor vendor Marketplace, a special presentation by AARP, and much, much more!
Award winning news anchor Jeannie Blaylock, a breast cancer champion and community leader, will speak about âThe Importance of Knowing Your Body.â Break-out sessions will focus on updates on breast cancer, and information on leading healthy lifestyles. Annually, the expo features over 50 exhibitors and welcomes over 400 attendees. We are proud to have grown this event into a health and wellness conference open to the entire community. CME and CEU credits for physicians and nurses attending the conference are also offered.
More than 70 exhibitors will be on display with products and services that include health, wellness, medical services and beauty.
