AARP Colorado and AARP affiliate Senior Planet invite you to take a step away from the busy week and enjoy A Day of Health and Wellness, a virtual event focusing on the ingredients that can help us take the first steps to a healthier way of life on July 12 at 10 a.m.
You can enjoy classes on exercise, nutrition and fitness apps that can help you meet your fitness goals. Attend one class or all three, each session will run about 60 minutes. Register one time for access to all three classes.
10 - 11 a.m.
Stretching and breathing exercises have shown to reduce anxiety and stress. This daily class will guide you through 30 minutes of simple stretches and breathing meditations to help you start your day with a sense of calm. We start promptly so please try to join at least five minutes early, if possible!
Eating for More Energy - 3 Smoothies 3 Ways - The answer to your busy mornings!
11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
You have a lot going on, but that does not mean your nutrition has to suffer. Come join us for a smoothie demo with Michelle Fox, Culinary Nutritionist as she shows us how to increase our energy and bring more balance to our mornings.
In this 60 minute class, you will learn 3 easy and delicious recipes to treat your tastebuds and boost your health. Join us for the education and plan to participate in the fun! Ingredient list will be provided with registration confirmation.
1 - 2 p.m.
Think that fitness apps are only for athletes? This lecture covers many different types of fitness apps, whatever your health and wellness goals. We'll discuss apps that can help you track your nutrition and activity, plan your workouts, stay motivated and even get better sleep. You’ll learn about the benefits of fitness apps and popular apps in each category.
Guests are welcome to attend, we just ask that they register themselves to complete the waivers.
