AARP Michigan and the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History recognize the important and unique role grandparents have played in families. Nationwide, more than 2.7 million grandparents are raising grandchildren, according to census figures — a number that is on the rise across the country.
Grandparents and grandchildren are invited to the Lexus Velodrome for a Grandparents Day Run/Walk. We will also host tours of the Lexus Velodrome. Enjoy a fun run or walk for health, hear bike safety chats and watch bike racing demos!
The event will take place from 2-4 p.m. at the Lexus Velodrome, 601 Mack Avenue in Detroit. Be sure to RSVP!
