Are you a Louisiana resident with the passion and enthusiasm to make a difference in your community? If so, we might have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!
The AARP Louisiana Executive Council has immediate openings for volunteers in Monroe to join our dynamic team.
The Executive Council consists of the highest-ranking volunteer positions in the state, and makes strategic decisions on our priorities, shaping the work of AARP throughout Louisiana. This team works in partnership with the state president, state director, and staff.
"AARP is powered by its members and volunteers who champion issues and advocate for the 50+ and their families,” said Denise Bottcher, AARP Louisiana State Director. “An Executive Council member is a top volunteer leader within the AARP state office and has the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of our nearly 430,000 members and their communities.”
The Executive Council member's term is two years and the time commitment is flexible and varies. Some travel is required, both in Louisiana and nationally, and your travel and other expenses are reimbursed.
If you're interested, please complete the Executive Council application below and scan and email it to lsscott@aarp.org. You can also complete an online application HERE. For more information, call (225) 376-1158.
