This February, AARP members and guests are invited to join us for a month-long celebration of Black History Month. AARPNY has a multitude of events - both virtual and in-person that you don't want to miss out on. See a list below of all the available opportunities. 1. February 18, 2023: Albany New York | Black/Hispanic/Puerto Rican/Asian Caucus Legislative Weekend

Visit the AARP New York Booth at the 52nd annual legislative conference in Albany of February 18th from 9AM to 6PM on the concourse of the Empire State Plaza. This annual gathering features a vendor fair, public policy workshops, receptions with legislators, and entertainment events. For more information on how to attend, go here: NYSABPRLINC.

2. February 28, 2023 from 2PM to 3PM | A History of Black Health in America Tele-Town Hall

Join AARP NY for this conversation with physicians and medical experts about the history of black health in America and the impact that decades of health disparities have had on black communities today. The call-in number will be posted on this page a week before the event.

3. February: All Month Long | New York City Radio Personalities Celebrate Black History Month

All month long in February, a host of NYC radio personalities will share videos on the AARP New York Facebook page telling us why they celebrate Black History Month. Click on the links below to watch their videos or view them on our AARP New York Facebook page each week.
