Tour of African American Museum & Library (Jan. 17 @ 1 pm | African American Museum and Library at Oakland)
Join AARP California for a free, guided group tour of the African American Museum and Library of Oakland - an institution dedicated to the discovery, preservation, interpretation, and sharing of historical and cultural experiences of African Americans in California and the West for present and future generations. Cupid Crew Card Writing (Jan. 22 @ 10 am | Virtual)
Wish of a Lifetime from AARP is teaming up with volunteers for the annual Cupid Crew. Help us show some love with a few words of encouragement that will be shared with those who are socially isolated on Valentine’s Day! During our online event, we’ll provide sample language and templates to guide your messages. RSVP by Jan. 13 to receive your card kit. Heart to Heart Café (Jan. 24 @10 am | Virtual)
Led by the nonprofit Chinese American Coalition for Compassionate Care, this Heart to Heart Café workshop, is designed to help family members, caregivers, healthcare provider and others understand what a loved one or patient wants when life is ending or threatened by injury or disease.
