It Takes Just 2 Wheels to Rediscover Your City
May is National Bike Month, and what better way to celebrate spring and the great outdoors than with some cycling?
AARP in Tampa Bay, the city of St. Petersburg and community partners are working together to offer educational events and information to raise awareness about bicycle safety and to encourage people to get moving.
It’s an activity that gives people a chance to get out of the house, keep fit and experience their community from a different perspective.
It also helps residents cope with the social distancing restrictions required during the coronavirus outbreak.
Cycling provides great exercise and an alternate mode of transportation. It also helps promote social participation and inclusion, two goals that St. Petersburg has embraced as a member of the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities.

Given the uncertainty over the coronavirus pandemic, check frequently for updates.
