Each year, one in every four adults age 65 and older falls. Join this conversation with the Granite VNA for older Americans and their caregivers.
This program emphasizes practical strategies to reduce fear of falling and increase activity levels. Falls can result in hip fractures, broken bones, head injuries, or even cause an older adult to become fearful or depressed making it difficult to remain active. Fortunately, falls do not need to be accepted as a natural part of aging and are largely preventable. There are steps that can be taken to stay safe and independent longer.
Grab a cup of coffee and join us for this previously recorded conversation with Jennifer Brechtel, CHES, Community Benefit Manager at Granite VNA. She’ll also highlight two evidence-based programs supported by the NH Fall Risk Reduction Task Force: A Matter of Balance and Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance.
