How, When, and Where to Vote in Lancaster

The Pennsylvania Primary Election is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, 2025. Polls across Lancaster City will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. To participate, you must be registered to vote by Monday, May 5, 2025.

You can register online at pavoterservices.pa.gov, by mail, or in person at the Lancaster County Board of Elections, located at 150 N Queen Street, Suite 117, Lancaster, PA.

If you prefer to vote by mail, your application for a mail-in or absentee ballot must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Completed ballots must be returned by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.

To find your designated polling place in Lancaster City, visit the Lancaster County Polling Locations page. It's important to verify your polling location, as some may have changed.

First-time voters at a new polling place should bring an approved form of identification, such as a Pennsylvania driver’s license, U.S. passport, or student ID.
