The Indiana Department of Health announced Hoosiers 65 and older are now eligible to register for COVID-19 vaccination.

Healthcare workers and first responders are also eligible to sign up to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

“AARP Indiana is glad to see the Department of Health offer the next age group of older Hoosiers the ability to register for COVID-19 vaccines,” AARP Indiana State Director Sarah Waddle said. “We believe older Hoosiers should be a priority for vaccination, and a lot of progress has been made.”

AARP has collected information on Indiana’s vaccination distribution process in one guide.

State and local government must be transparent about their vaccine distribution plans and keep Hoosiers informed.

With vaccines available, Hoosiers need to talk with a medical provider about what’s best for them and their families.
