Help Advocate on Behalf of Older Kentuckians

Posted on 11/01/25 by AARP Bulletin

Kentucky’s 2026 legislative session begins Tuesday, Jan. 6, in Frankfort, and AARP Kentucky and its volunteers will be actively engaged throughout to champion the interests of older residents.

AARP Lobby Day will be held Thursday, Feb. 19. Volunteers from across the state will meet with legislators to advocate for AARP-backed bills and to share personal stories.

AARP Kentucky’s priorities include fraud prevention; support for family caregivers and for long-term care services; tax fairness; equitable housing options; and affordable, accessible health coverage. To become a volunteer, email kyaarp@aarp.org or call 866-295-7275.
