Help AARP in St. Louis Rebuild More Than a Home

Posted on 04/05/18 by JoAnn Rose, AARP Missouri

A neighborhood isn’t made of houses and streets. A neighborhood consists of people. Across St. Louis, age, disability and a lack of resources can erode communities as houses fall into disrepair and force our neighbors out of the places they call home.

In communities across the country, Rebuilding Day unites over 200,000 volunteers on one Saturday to repair homes and restore pride, dignity and independence.  In St. Louis, Rebuilding Day has impacted over 50 communities across the city and county. Whether you are a skilled trades worker or have never picked up a paintbrush, you can make an impact. AARP in St. Louis is doing our part in helping a local family stay in their home safely as they age.  Mark your calendars and please join other AARP members and friends on Saturday, May 5, 2018 to lend a hand to our neighbors.
