Heartland Caregiving Conference
AARP Kansas City is kicking off National Family Caregivers Month with our sponsorship of The 2023 Heartland Caregiving Conference hosted by Sandwiched KC.
Sandwiched KC is a 501c3 non-profit launched in 2018 that is committed to providing local family caregivers with free information and referral, support groups, education, and self-care activities. Their mission is to create opportunities for family caregivers to find local support and shared wisdom.
Join AARP Kansas City on November 4th for this free caregivers conference. We’ll have AARP’s great caregiver resources to share along side other Kansas City based organizations with local resources for family caregivers. There will be a full day of sessions including key legal concerns for caregivers, resources for aging at home, care for the caregiver, and much more!
The conference is free, including lunch, but you must register by October 31st.

Additionally, both organizations have the option of contacting an agent for free caregiving advice. AARP’s agents are available to take calls Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. ET at 1-877-333-5885. The support line is also available in Spanish, at 1-888-971-2013. The Caregiver Action Network’s caregiving experts are available 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM ET at 855-227-3640, and you can also contact them via email and chat with someone directly through their website.
