AARP Missouri and the Brush Creek Community Center officially cut the ribbon on the first AARP Sponsored Outdoor Fitness Park in Kansas City on September 17, 2022. The opening is helping to fulfill AARP’s initiative to sponsor a fitness park in every state, the District of Columbia, Puerto  Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  Now that warm weather is here, it’s a perfect time to explore this new (and free) addition in Kansas City.

“AARP Missouri is dedicated to empowering older people to live how they want as they age,” said AARP State Director Craig Eichelman. “Healthy living and activity are important for people of all ages, and this new outdoor fitness park will give many people in the community opportunities to improve their wellbeing.”

Sponsorship of the Outdoor Fitness Park is a part of AARP’s continued work in local communities. These outdoor fitness parks are a tangible example of the work the nationwide organization does in every state to create better communities for all.

Be sure to stop by and check out the park located at 3801 Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64130
