Guardianship 101: What steps to take

When it comes to caring for a loved one, guardianship may be a tool utilized to keep the person cared for safe. Guardianship is the legal process of appointing a surrogate decision-maker for those who need help (called a ward).
But when should you consider guardianship and how easy is it to get it?
