Governor Ivey proclaims November as Family Caregivers Month

Posted on 11/17/23 by Jamie Harding

Each November is National Family Caregivers Month. This is a month to recognize the challenges faced by family caregivers across the nation.

Here in Alabama, AARP estimates that more than 700,000 family caregivers are providing care and support to loved ones. This can include everything from taking them to medical appointments, managing their finances, and providing physical care.

AARP Alabama thanks Governor Kay Ivey for acknowledging the family caregivers across Alabama by proclaiming November as Family Caregivers Month in Alabama. For Caregiving Resources, visit: aarp.org/caregiving.
