Give Back: Become a Virtual Volunteer in Idaho

Posted on 06/30/21 by The AARP Bulletin

Are you tech savvy and interested in volunteering? AARP Idaho is seeking virtual volunteers who are able to engage with other Idahoans via smartphones, computers and tablets.

Opportunities include facilitating remote events, such as Movies for Grownups screenings and caregiving workshops; giving presentations on timely topics like fighting fraud; and calling residents to share important updates, such as scam alerts and the latest on the COVID-19 vaccines.

Whether in person or remote, volunteers are an integral part of AARP’s mission and receive ample support and training. All training sessions will be conducted via a Zoom platform and recorded so that participants can review and watch them again.

To learn more, email Cathy McDougall, state outreach director, at aarpid@aarp.org.
