Get UpDates on AARP Ohio's Cincinnati Mural Project

Posted on 07/26/24

AARP is sponsoring a mural to celebrate older adults. This collaborative mural project between AARP Ohio, Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) and ArtWorks aims to reflect the contributions, vibrant spirit, history and aspirations of the older adults in the Cincinnati community.

Interested Cincinnati residents and individuals participated in a virtual listening session and/or a survey to help determine the content and overall design during this past summer.

Where Will It Be?

The mural will be displayed on CMHA’s Logan Commons, a mixed-use center that includes 42 affordable housing apartments for individuals ages 55 and older and a leased space for a nonprofit. The building is located on the corner of Elder Street & Campbell Street—one block from the historic Findley Market, a popular attraction for locals and visitors alike.

When Can I See It?

The mural is expected to be completed sometime this winter. Once the mural reveal date is determined, you'll be able to sign up to participate in ongoing community events. Check back here often!
