Get Active: Join the Detroit Riverwalkers
The 2023 Detroit Riverwalkers summer series, sponsored by AARP Michigan and hosted by the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, will kick off on Tuesday, June 13.
The free walking program for adults age 50 and over features more than 3 miles of paved paths spanning from Rosa Parks Boulevard to the MacArthur Bridge.
The walks will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 to 10 a.m. through Aug. 24, starting from Cullen Plaza, 1340 Atwater St. Participants are welcome to walk all or part of the riverwalk.
Riverwalkers events include blood pressure screenings, giveaways, presentations from AARP Michigan on Tuesdays and outdoor fitness classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
