Gen Silent: Screening & Workshop

Posted on 10/12/17

As we grow older most of us will need some form of assistance to maintain our desired quality of life, independence and dignity as we age. Dealing with declining health, loss of ability and accepting help from loved ones or paid caregivers is hard enough, for those in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community, aging and receiving care has its unique challenges and complications.

GEN SILENT is an award winning documentary by director Stu Maddux that explores the unique issues facing lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) older adults as they age. Winner of numerous film festivals, GEN SILENT follows six LGBT older people for a year and chronicles their challenges and triumphs as they struggle to maintain their quality of life as they age.
