From Roots to Remembrance: AARP San Antonio invites you to celebrate culture with Día de los Muertos
AARP San Antonio is partnering with the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center to sponsor a series of Día de los Muertos events that celebrate heritage, honor loved ones and strengthen community ties. These events—a sugar skull decorating workshop, an altar-making class, and a vibrant outdoor dance and mariachi performance—are part of our commitment to uplifting Latino traditions and fostering intergenerational connections. By engaging in cultural storytelling and hands-on experiences, we continue to support healthy aging, lifelong learning and meaningful social engagement. These events reflect the AARP mission to empower people to choose how they live as they age—through connection, culture, and community.
